William F. Snidle M.D.
Dr. Snidle is one of the founders of Contemporary OB/GYN starting the practice in March 1986, Dr. Freeman joining him in July of that same year.
Dr. Snidle was born in Albion, IL, a rural comunity in the southern part of the state. He grew up on a farm attending the local public high school. He attended Wabash Valley Jr. College in Mt. Carmel, IL, receiving an Associates Degree in Science. While there he devoloped an interest in medicine as a career.
He attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale in pre-med, receiving his degree in Biological Sciences. He then attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Champagne, IL and Peoria, IL. He received his Doctor Of Medicine Degree in 1981.
He realized OB/GYN was his chosen career path and decided to do his internship and residency at St. John's Mercy Medical Center, which is how he arrived in the St. Louis area. Upon completion, in 1985 he practiced for short time in Washington, MO.
He arrived at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in March 1986 and remains here today working with the Doctors, Nurse Practitioners and health care professionals of Contemporary OB/GYN.
He and his wife Julie reside in the Festus area and are part of the local community. Dr. Snidle is past medical Staff President and current Chairman of the OB/GYN Dept. He was one of the first practicing physicians to serve on the Jefferson Regional Medical Center Board of Directors. He has served on the Jefferson R7 Board of Education.
Julie has a degree in elementary education and most recently taught at Crystal City Grade School. She is quite involved in the artistic community including sponsoring local classes to bring in outside artists.
They have 5 children in their combined families ranging from age 26 to age 10. The children attend local schools and are very involved in the community.
Dr. and Mrs. Snidle are 1/3 owners of Wee Care Learning Center. Wee Care is a 250 child pre-school and education facility located near Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Julie has served as Director of the facility in the past.
Dr. Snidle remains a dedicated member of the medical community as Contemporary OB/GYN changes and grows to meet the needs of women of the area.
Charles Freeman M.D.
Dr. Freeman received his medical degree from Saint Louis University Medical School, and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Johns Mercy Medical Center.
Dr. Freeman has been in practice over 19 years, and can be credited with the delivery of over 4,000 babies.
While Dr. Freeman enjoys diagnosing and treating all aspects of Female Health Care, his special interests include Endometrial Ablation and Laser Conization.
In his free time he enjoys Rams football, foreign travel, and relaxation time with his wife and 2 K9 companions.
Sheila Frimmel, WHNP-BC and Christena Huskey, WHNP-BC
Christena L. Huskey W.H.N.P. - BC
Chris graduated from the Nursing Program at Lutheran Medical Center in St. Louis in 1974. She then worked as a Community Health Nurse for approximately 14 years in Maternal and Child Health programs. She returned to academics in 1990, and graduated in the first of her class from the University of Missouri in St. Louis, Nurse Practitioner program. In 1992, Chris was NCC certified as a Womens Health Nurse Practitioner, and has remained employed with Contemporary OB/GYN since 1992..
Chris was a member of the Board of Health in Jefferson County for 8 years, and Chairman for 3 years.
In her spare time, Chris enjoys horseback riding and driving her buggy.
Sheila Frimml WHNP-BC
Shiela joined Contemporary OB-GYN in November of 2009. Prior to joining the practice, Shiela was a labor and delivery nurse for 7 years. She received her Master's in Nursing from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. Shiela is NCC certified as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
Shiela grew up in Herculaneum and currently resides in Festus. She and her husband Dave have three young children. In her free time, Shiela enjoys being involved in her daughter's school, spending time with family, and traveling.
